Daddy and Tea Time...:-) ( a cute joke)

Cup of Tea for Daddy...:-)

One day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me.I was maybe 2 1/2 years old..

Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a gift and it was one of my favorite toys.

Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I brought Daddy a little cup of 'tea', which was just water.

After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home.

My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of Tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!'

My Mom waited, and sure enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy and she watches him drink it up.

Then she says, (as only a mother would know...)'Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach toGet water is the toilet?'

Dream Cleaning or Spring Cleaning..:-)

Good Morning!!!

Hey! Guess what? The sun is out and they said on the weather that tomorrow it gets to 40!!! ( But later it goes go to the high 30's and rain... :-( ) Oh Well... I'm dreaming of our garden and our roses.

...Last night I didn't get as much sleep as I wanted to... And why did I not sleep as much as I wanted? I was thinking about CLEANING. Spring Cleaning actually. So what am I doing right now? I'm WRITING to you about Cleaning. I guess we have just had so much snow and being stuck in the house so much... that I have noticed what is dirty and needs cleaning. And that wold be half of the house. Mainly the Family Room where our Wood Burning Fireplace is. Picture of it below.

...But what you do NOT see in that picture, are the little pieces of wood that land on the carpet while carrying wood to the fireplace...:-( So I'm always vacumning that room...:-(

Then of course the kitchen always needs to be cleaned. I want it like this again...

...Right now a little bit of my counter space has a couple piles of papers on it & Sissy's medicine. ( Which I'm HAPPY to say she needs NO MORE!!! ) And I don't like it... Hence... Spring Cleaning!!! ( Before Spring even gets here. )

.... We need flowers in th house!!! Like this!!! Only these are from Kroger and not our gardens.

... Yesterday I was at Home Depot. I saw a big display of seeds & plants. I bought seeds for Arugula. Very Good. I have a list of stuff that will go in the garden and herbs for me to grow in pots here at home for me to use in my cooking. Am I the only one here that can't wait to start growing Mint, Parsley, Cilantro , Basil and DILL? That's all I had on the patio last year.

... I better quit JUST TALKING about cleaning and ACTUALLY do it. So I'll talk to you later!!!

What's Up ??? ( Just Read) ;-)

Up What ???

There is a two-letter word that perhaps has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that is 'UP'...

It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP ?

At a meeting, why does a topic come UP ?

Why do we speak UP and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report ?

We call UP our friends.

And we use it to brighten UP a room,

polish UP the silver; we warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen.

We lock UP the house and some guys fix UP the old car. At other times the little word has real special meaning.

People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP

excuses.

To be dressed is one thing, but to be dressed UP is special. (My Mom would say... Why are you dressed in that Get Up)

And this UP is confusing:

A drain must be opened UP because it is stopped UP.

We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night.

We seem to be pretty mixed UP about UP!

To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of UP, look the word UP in the dictionary.

In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes UP almost 1/4th of the page and can add UP to about thirty definitions.

If you are UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used.

It will take UP a lot of your time but if you don't give UP,you may wind UP with a hundred or more.

When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP. When the sun comes out we say it is clearing UP! When it rains, it wets the earth and often messes things UP.

When it doesn't rain for awhile, things dry UP.One could go on and on, but I'll wrap it UP, so........it is time to shut UP!

See if you can add to this...:-)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Just For Valentines Day!!!

Ok BE HONEST... how many of you REALLY ENJOY getting little angel love notes from every person in your address book?

You know the ones with "I love you so... here's an angel" ... and some mushy poem crap..... And like the cute wasn't bad enough, they then THREATEN you with bad luck if you don't send it on to others!!

Here is my kind of angel...:-)

He's good luck because he probably made you smile. When you're finished trying to see up his loincloth,

(AND YOU JUST LOOKED AGAIN, DIDN'T YOU??), why not send this on to some of your girlfriends to make them smile, too?

One for the girls:

Now I lay me down to sleep

I pray the Lord my shape to keep.

Please no wrinkles, Please no bags,

Please lift my butt before it sags.

Please no age spots, Please no gray,

As for my belly, Please take it away.

Keep me healthy, Keep me young,

And thank you Lord, For all you've done.

(WHOOPS! Too late!)

Foot Note:

One saggy boob said to the other saggy boob: 'If we don't get some support soon, people will think we're nuts.'

Ice Hanging Around or ON The House

Baby It's Cold Outside !!!

Here is the picnic table we use to measure the snow we get. You can see ice hanging from it underneath the table.

I have more pictures I want to take. We have Ice hanging from the top story of our house that I want to get a picture of tomorrow !!! It's pretty, but there is so much of it, it's making the gutter bow a little.

And of course... a cartoon : A touch racist, but still cute...:-)

Do you know why it's so cold?

Because almost every white person for 200+ years said, "It will be a cold day in Hell, before a black man becomes President."

Enjoy the weather. :-)

The Sniper Wore Diamonds

This cme on an e-mail from my Dad... I thought I would pass it along.

********** The Real Miss America **********
This 19 year old ex-cheerleader (now an Air Force Security Forces Sniper) was watching a road that led to a NATO military base when she observed a man digging by the road. She engaged the target (i.e. , she shot him). It turned out he was a bomb maker for the Taliban , and he was burying an IED that was to be detonated when a US patrol walked by 30 minutes later. It would have certainly killed and wounded several soldiers.

The interesting fact of this story is the shot was measured at 725 yards. She shot him as he was bent over burying the bomb. The shot went through his butt and into the bomb which detonated; he was blown to pieces. The Air Force made a motivational poster of her:

(Folks , that's a shot 25 yards longer than seven football fields!)
And the last thing that came out of his mouth . was his ass!

About Irena Sendler

Good Morning!

.....We woke up to more snow! At least 4 inches just overnight. And it's still coming down lightly.

... Then I got on the computer and found my e-mail. I want to share this one.

************************* Irena Sendler ****************************

There recently was a death of a 98 year-old lady named Irena. During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist. She had an 'ulterior motive' ... She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German.) Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids..) She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.. During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants. She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely. Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family. Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.

Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize ... She was not selected.

Powerful message, especially the "cartoon." Let us never forget!

HAPPY FEBRUARY FIRST!!!

... Happy February First! It was just Christmas not long ago... What happened?

Tomorrow Sissy sees the vet again... Lets hope the tests come back good. But I'm worried about it. She isn't eating again. She was for a little bit. She seems to go up and down.

It looks like I have to go have my Blackberry fixed or exchanged. It doesn't seem to want to ENABLE bluetooth so I can somehow wirelessly connect it to my car. ( I have SYNC in my car.) Oh well. I'll let the guys handle it.

...The picture below came in an e-mail. ... I thought it was cute.
