AMAZING TALENT!!!

Enjoy... It's Beautiful!!!

You Must Read This First...:-)

You may have seen this before but well worth watchin again - she really istalented -

This is incredible! By the German invasion during World War II. Her talent, which admittedly is a strange one, is mesmeric to watch.

The images, projected onto a large screen, moved many in the audience to tears and she won the top prize of about $75,000.

She begins by creating a scene showing a couple sitting holding hands on a bench under a starry sky, but then warplanes appear and the happy scene is obliterated.

It is replaced by a woman's face crying, but then a baby arrives and the woman smiles again. Once again war returns and Miss Simonova throws the sand into chaos from which a young woman's face appears.

She quickly becomes an old widow, her face wrinkled and sad, before the image turns into a monument to an Unknown Soldier.
This outdoor scene becomes framed by a window as if the viewer is looking out on the monument from within a house.
a man standing outside, with his hands pressed against the glass, saying goodbye.

The Great Patriotic War, as it is called in Ukraine, resulted in one in four of the population being killed with eight to 11 million deaths out of a population of 42 million.

Kseniya Simonova says: "I find it difficult enough to create art using paper and pencils or paintbrushes, but using sand and fingers is beyond me. The art, especially when the war is used as the subject matter, even brings some audience members to tears. And there's surely no biggercompliment."

Please take time out to see this amazing piece of art. click on the link below -

Good Evening!!!

Here are the BOOK THONGS I have been making... ( Book Markers)

And how about a joke!!!

******************** The 2.99 Special ********************

We went to breakfast at a restaurant where the 'seniors' special' was two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast for $2.99. 'Sounds good,' my wife said. 'But I don't want the eggs.' 'Then, I'll have to charge you three dollars and forty-nine cents because you're ordering a la carte,' the waitress warned her. 'You mean I'd have to pay for not taking the eggs?' my wife asked incredulously. 'YES!!' stated the waitress. 'I'll take the special then,' my wife said. 'How do you want your eggs?' the waitress asked.
'Raw and in the shell,' my wife replied. She took the two eggs home and baked a cake.
DON'T MESS WITH SENIORS!!! WE'VE been around the block more than once!!!

I got that from a friend of ours in California! He sends cute ones.

It's snowing again!!! I wonder how much we'll get this time?

Depressed and Crochet...

Good Evening!!!

...I'm still working on our snuggy. The yarn came the other day. I have been working on it for hours. It's getting depressing with nothing but double crochet.

It looks like we'll be getting a lot of rain starting tonight or overnight. Depressing weather. I'll probably end up reading or crocheting.

Did you see where that telethon called HOPE FOR HAITI raised 57 MILLION dollar? WOW... Raise money like that to pay off the national debt!!! :-)

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Good " Gloomy " Morning

...LOL... Sorry about the Heading of my post. But that is how it looks out the computer room window. But at least the market is up!!!

Has anyone beem watching the election in Massachusetts? I have. It looks very interesting. From CBSNEWS:

" Republican candidate Scott Brown has unabashedly told Massachusetts voters he would act as the Republican party's "41st vote" in the Senate to effectively filibuster the Democrats' health care overhaul. That means if he wins today, Brown could squash the compromise bill House and Senate Democrats are nearly finished drawing up. "

Crocheting Our Snuggy

... I have been crocheting our snuggy for a few hours today.... I swear it will get warm before I'm done. Todays high temp. was 47!!!

I have also been reading today... It's a Fluff piece called " Chasing Harry Winston "... I'm not recomending it as of yet. I'm not finished. But so far it's about 3 girls, all about age 30. And they are looking for relationships / marriage. It's a little shallow. But it MIGHT get better. I'll let you know.

Right now I have SEAN HANNITY on T.V. Fox Channel 360. They are talking about the Health Bill and Haiti.

Crochet & Listen To Book on CD

... I love listening to BOOKS / STORIES on CD's... Also know as Audio Books. I enjoy crocheting while listening. And cleaning and cooking while listening.

...I just finished an Audio Book yesterday. It was very good, It was called " THE DIARY " by Elieen Goudge... I recomend that book to anyone who likes Drama and Mystery. It's about 2 daughters ( Both in 30's or 40's) They find their Mother's Diary.... & learn more then they ever thought they would. I don't want to tell you any more then that. It will spoil the story for you. But it's very good.

... I just wanted to recomend this book to all of you!!!

... I'm pretty much done with errands I had to run... I took books back to the library... went to the grocery store... Got Sissy's medicine.

Umm... It's Tuesday?

...I need a title for my post and can't think of one...;-)

...Here's our girl keeping warm again. But me? Being that close to the fireplace just gives me dry skin. Sissy? She can lay there all day and not have a problem.

...I just wish I knew how to handle the dry skin. I haven't typed or even crocheted for a couple of days. ( The TIP of thumb ) Got any ideas of what I could try?

Go here for a GREAT DEAL on Yankee Candles!!!

Sissy Has The Right Idea...:-)

Good Afternoon!!!

...When I got up this morning... took care of my morning rituals... Then returned from the bathroom... I found this... ( The picture was taken a few days ago, but Sissy has taken to keeping warm this way. ) And she was sitting right there again today by the space heater in our bedroom when I came of the bathroom.

...Then she gives me that look that says, " What? I'm not the dummy that jumped in the shower when it's FREEZING out. I'm sticking by this warm thing here." ...LOL

Just thought you would like to see this... I think it's cute...:-)
