Piecework & Crochet

Good Evening!

I started doing a lot of piecework so I can get them sewn later this week...Then a couple of days ago, my husband gets home from work and says, " A guy I work with is having a baby girl, do you think you can make a baby blanket for her?" Oh yes... and the baby will be born Aug. 12. ( 12th or 13th ) So here is how far I have gotten...It's almost done. I'm using what I'm starting to call my signature stitch since I use it so much. The Double Puff Stitch.

I have about 8 or 9 more rows til I'm finished with it.

I Need Information... :-)

Good evening!

Now that I have experienced a little quilting, I find myself in need of a simple to use sewing machine. Does anyone have any ideas of what to buy? I'm pretty sure all I'll ever need is a straight line / seam.

Reminds Me Of Grandpa...

Good Morning!

I read this one this morning and had to share it... For some reason it made me think of my Grandpa.

A young couple invited their elderly pastor for Sunday dinner.
While they were in the kitchen preparing the meal, the minister asked their son what they were having.
"Goat," the little boy replied.
"Goat?" asked the startled man of the cloth, "Are you sure about that?"
"Yep," said the youngster. "I heard Dad say to Mom, 'Today is just as good as any to have the old goat for dinner."

I Ran Out Of Yarn

... Of a certain kind / pattern.  So I'm taking a rest. But I can show you what I'm working on. I'm using my favorite stitch. The Double Puff Stitch...:-) ... The yarn is 100% Bamboo. I love it! So soft and it's natural , therefore it breathes!

More Storm Approaching...

... It looks like tonight is a repeat of the other night. More storms on the way. I can hear theThunder but no rain as of yet.

Today I was freezing Cilantro... I decided to freeze herbs that are hard to fine in the winter, so I have them on hand.... I used the little pump by ZipLoc... They have a little hole their bags where you can pump air OUT OF THE BAG so you don't get freezer burn on whatever your freezing.. Then lock it / zip it shut.  I hope to freeze other food also as I find FRESH fruits, veggies, herbs etc.

Someone Told Me...

... I haven't see you on your blog for awhile! Thank You Reina for telling me..:-) I miss my blogging. It helps in an odd way to write things down.

I'm back to crocheting.  But I'm also baking & cooking. With the garden full of goodies, I have been baking. Today I'll bake some Zuchinni Bread. My recipe makes 2 loaves. So one will be frozen after wrapping it SEVERAL times. when you freeze bread, wrap several times to keep air and frost/freeze out.

   I better get to it!!!
