Mom's Afghan & A Friends Blog...

.... This morning I was going down the list of blogs I try to read daily... And I came across one I would like to share with you. One Yarn After Another... By Bev Matheson ... http://bevmatheson.blogspot.com/ I hope you enjoy it...:-)

... .And here is what I have been working on. An Afghan for my Mom. Here is the beginning of it. I'm using 2 dark earthy yarns & a streak of a Creamy Off White. I'll post it when it's done. This is just so you have an idea of what I'm working on. Her chair is beige, so it should look good. I'll try to remember to get a picture of it ON her chair like I did Dad's. I'm keeping my family warm this winter. I just feel like crocheting afghans now. I have no idea when I'll be able to work on my sweater again. It's more of summer sweater. The yarn is a Pink Silk & Cotton. I can just work on it in between other projects. In Mean time... It's in the corner waiting for my interest to spark...;-) Too many other things for right now.

...Here is a close up of stitches... I like the dark brown contrasting with the dark rusty color. :-)

  1. You're such a sweetheart! Thanks for linking to my blog.

I love the afghan you are working on. I'm trying to decide if I want to start one of wait until it gets a little colder. Maybe I'll work on a baby one. (Or not.) ;-)

  4. The afghan for your Mom looks great so far. I like your Dad's afghan, too. I crocheted a acrap ripple afghan for my Dad a few years ago.

  5. ... I think she'll like it... I showed her the yarn, but she has not seen the afghan after I started it. I wanted to make sure she liked it. ( I don't think she even knows I have blog...so she won't see it on here. )

Thanks for visiting my blog... And yes, Bev has a good one. I visit the ones you see listed on mine. " On Blogs I Follow "... Afghans By Gina & Go Crochet are very good... But Hooked On Needles is wonderful for her Video Library... :-) The owner of Hooked On Needles is Mary Grace. Very Patient Lady...:-)

    I love your comments...;-)

  6. Hi Tina,

Thanks...:-) I need to use up the scrap yarn I have. I was thinking of just making squares with it and sew them togather. Some scrap wouldn't even make a long row... So I have a feeling I would be doing a LOT of sewing on it. ... Or I could just give it to the kids at the Library where I meet other hookers / crocheters once a month.:-)
