Today is a gloomy gray day... I hope your having what "I" call a great day! PARTLY CLOUDY DAY !!! I like partly Cloudy so you don't have the sun in your eyes all the time.
... I'm not loafing off on the crochet front...;-) Here are my latest squares. I hate squares... Mine just don't turn out square..:-(
I'm just trying a new stitch here that I found in this book.
I better get going... Have a lot more to do... Cooking for tonights party.
I didn't have to cook after all... I asked mu sister what she needed to bring and she said " if hyou brong something, it has to be enough for 75 - 80 people." She laughed at the silence on my end of the phone and said " Don't worry, I have it all covered." That was big party. But it was fun!
I think I'll try and start a new afghan. ( not with squares though.)
Do you by any chance have a simple pattern for squares that you use? That's what I need. something easy, and I mean easy. So I can at least get the hang of it.
Hi!
I'm a Housewife & Mom. I have been happily married 35 years & going strong. :-)
We live in Ohio not far from Cincinnati. Our son is 33. He works for the Army Corp Of Engineers(Gov't) We're very proud of him.
Then comes Sissy.( Maltese) Our little Girl. She is 14... but she is in Heaven. You may hear her name once in awhile.
I enjoy Crocheting & Quilting, but I also like Cooking, Reading, Music, Family & Friends.
If you don't like the squares, just use them for dish cloths or dusting rags...this way they go to good use ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day and enjoy the party! (bet you're cooking something good!)

I always hated squares too. I was always a 'back and forth' kinda gal and never got the hang of working in the round.
ReplyDeleteNow that I've got it, I love making them. Much cooler in the summer, and easier to tote around for take-along projects.
