New Hook !

Hi!

My new hook came. Love it! My old G Hook snapped ( A plastic one) The Addi Swing has a metal neck on it. Feels good in your hand.

We're suppose to have rain moving in around this area some time this evening. I hope we get plenty of rain and no bad storms.

Did I show you this? This what I made for Laura. ( My Nephew's girlfriend ) It's the "Martha Cowl Scarf" . She saw it on www.Ravelry.com . So she bought the yarn for it... Then I had to find someone who had the pattern...:-) They took it off the website for some reason.

I Finished It!

Good Evening!

I just finished Laura's scarf! ( my nephew's girlfriend) It's the Martha Cowl Scarf.

Nothing like taking your picture in the powder room mirror.  I have plenty of yarn left over from that scarf, so I'm also working on fingerless gloves to go with it.

Let me know what think of it.

It Snapped!

... I have been crocheting a Martha Cowl Scarf for my nephews girlfriend... Last night while working on it, MY HOOK SNAPPED! It was one of those plastic Light Hooks that I bought from JoAnn.com... I love the light on it. .. So I ordered an Addi Swing Crochet Hook! ( metal)

I was watching the watching the Republican National Convention last night while I was crocheting.  It was good! They had great speakers at the convention. I loved listening to Ann Romney & Chris Christy ( not sure if I spelled is last name right.)

Lots of laundry to do today, so I better get to it!

Don't Toss It !!!

Good Morning!

I have been feeling In The Mood  TO CROCHET  for Christmas! So I went to Ravelry to look for GIFT BAGS... That way I won't waste Time & Money on wrapping paper and paper gift bags.  Hmm, I could quilt gift bags also. That's a thought! I keep restricting myself to patterns. Why not just go with my own thoughts on how to make something?  But I Digress...

SO DON'T TOSS OUT your cotton yarn! I was about to give it all to the Community Center here. These bags are best if you use Cotton Yarn  ( Sugar & Cream or is Cream & Sugar? ) I always get the name wrong. The Community Center will be getting Knitting Books I no longer use and acrylic yarn I don't want.

New Purchase...

... I bought a small ironing board to use upstairs when I quilt. ( press the fabric pieces.) I love the smaller size!

For dinner this evening, I prepared Chicken n Dumplings.   That was good. I haven't made it for awhile.

I got some more work done on Laura's " Martha Cowl Scarf "... It's coming along quite well. I'm making roses in different colors for her.

We got some much needed rain! I hope we get more!

Poor Baby...

Good Morning!

...Yesterday I took Sissy to the Vet for her booster shot. Dr. Linko checked her over and found that she had infections in both ears.  She gets drops in her ears once a day. Then she sees the vet again to have them checked for progress next week.

I haven't found the pattern for the " Marth Cowl Scarf " yet.

Last night I was going some piecework for the quilt. Measuring & Cutting sure is time consuming! But the fabrics are real pretty!!!

Look What We Found...

Good Afternoon!

My son & I went out to eat today after getting his new mattress & box springs today. We left the house around 10:30  (?)  ... We got back a little fater 1 PM.  And  this what we found when we walked into the house....

The little stinker slept right through Michael opening the Front Door AND the Garage Door! She usually wakes up as soon as she hears a car or truck in the driveway!  She didn't wake up until she heard the CLICK of the camera on my phone taking this picture!

Michael took me to a place called New China Buffet. It was good! They had good Salmon and Crab Rangoon. Both very good. ( In Ky.)

That is about all for now. Later I take Sissy to see the vet. She needs her booster shot.  So she might be a bit sleepy after that.

Later!
