The Afghans I Started In Alaska...:-)

Hi!

I didn't forget about Crochet while on vacation. I at least start an afghan on each vacation.

So here we go. I have a Granny Square thing going... It's a mindless stitch you can do while listening to music etc. No pattern required...;-)

This one was started on the plane to the cruise ship...

...And this one was started on the ship in the Crystal Atrium ( Music Lounge) while listening to the music of Kenny Giordana.

We both got TEENY TINY flecks of gold in our pans...LOL Think they are real gold? ;-)

We went on the Norwegian Cruise Line... The ship was The Pearl! It was beautiful!

OOPS!!!

...Not enough yarn... I WAS going to make a shawl with that Egyptian Cotton... But I don't have enough of it. So I frogged it and made a head scarf instead. So I'll have to use something else for the shawl I want. But it has to be a yarn I like to TOUCH. I don't want a rough feeling yarn.

When I figure out what to do next... I'll show you...:-) Don't worry.

I'm headed to my neglected library books... I feel like reading.

Looky What I found...:-)

I looked in my Craft Room / Michael's Room... and found a container of EGYPTIAN COTTON YARN. I love it! when you work / crochet it, it has kind of a * NUBBY * feeling. But after you wash it, it's as soft as silk!!! And the colors in this yarn just POPS!!!



The picture below is of Sissy. She was suppose to hold still while I drape the scarf over her that I just finished. But she moved at the last minute...LOL So I took another picture of it on the floor.
















































I am also making a shawl with it... This shawl is for me....:-) I love it. *** And the colors are perfect! I also made fingerless gloves with this yarn, but they are in the washing machine getting nice soft and silky!!! ***

My Yarn Came!

... And yes.. it was fun opening the box. Inside the box looked like a SUNSET!!! Those are the colors in my yarn. So I have been crocheting again.

I'll post the picture for when it's done.

Our son is in Norway right now. He's enjoying it there. He's visiting a friend of his from High School. He got there this morning about 7 AM our time. It took 8 hours to get there.
